What do I wear to this event with indecipherable dress code? Why can’t I find a shirt that’s not a crop top? How do I do a “French tuck”? Am I shaped like an apple or a pear, and what dress would that fruit even wear? What would I wear with this?

If you’ve said one or all of the above to yourself, you’re in great company. Too often, “style tips” are based on a narrow set of suggestions, and what’s worse is the deeper you dig, the more they contradict each other! You are an individual with personal tastes and preferences – let’s not put you in a box! I am a costume designer for film and television - that means that I am classically trained in looking at someone and determining what clothes are right for them, and then polishing it up to be camera-ready, rather than just treat you like a mannequin for the latest trends. It is my entire job to have you wear the clothes, and never to have the clothes wear you! I take a holistic approach when thinking about each person I dress, who they really are and what suits them. I can dress any age, gender, and body type.

Consultation

After filling out a small questionnaire to help me get to know you a bit, you can tell me where you’re stuck and what you’re looking for, and we can discuss ideas together about where you want your wardrobe to go. I come to this meeting prepared with a small, preliminary vision board to help give a visual for the direction we’re heading. This is typically done virtually but can be in person for an added charge.

CLOSET FITTING

I come to you and we use what you have! There’s no better place to start styling you than in YOUR closet! We’ll go through your clothes and put together some outfits that you can use in your daily rotation, plus mix and match staples so you can feel confident getting dressed every day. We take pictures and create a lookbook that is totally accessible to you and helps eliminate the “what do I wear??” panic. I can also advise on tailoring to refurbish those items you might love, but just can’t figure out what’s off about them.

$250 (includes 1 hour fitting, look book gallery, and 5 confabs)

Let’s go shopping! After a fitting, we might find some holes that need filling in to tie everything together and I can’t wait to do that with you! We can hit some stores together, or you can relax in the fitting rooms while I bring the clothes to you! Don’t have the time or energy for an in-person shopping trip? Let me assemble a virtual shopping list that you can browse and buy from at your own pace. For an added cost, I will do returns for you so you don’t get stuck with items that don’t work!

CONFAB PACKAGE

I won’t just leave you in the lurch - this is actually the most important part! Styling yourself is a daily ritual, and I want to be a part of it. It’s one thing to get a makeover and a few pointers, and it’s a whole other to try to put it to use in the wild. Text me with questions and photos and I will help you with the practical application, anywhere from “what shoes should I wear with this?” to “should I cuff these jeans?” In styling, it’s the little details that go a long way – consider this the continuing education component of my services.

  • I am a costume designer that has been working in the television and film industry for almost fifteen years. Instead of only engaging with clothes from a fashion standpoint, like many stylists, it is my job to look at the whole person and help them tell a story about themselves with their clothing. My goal is not only to make you look fabulous, but to feel like yourself too!

  • You don’t! But if you want to feel a little more confident getting dressed, I think you wouldn’t be here unless you were already thinking of one. As a mom, I understand how it feels to be overwhelmed by getting dressed every day. There are lots of reasons for feeling a little lost about what to wear – weight fluctuations or body transitions, being out of practice, a total bafflement about how to engage with the latest trends – and, as with anything, there’s a lot of conflicting information out there. You don’t have to do it alone! This is a service to help you look and feel your best.

  • It’s not up to me to tell you what your style is - someone coming in with preconceived notions is how we get fashion victims. Instead, I like to get to know you and help YOU hone and articulate your own personal style. We’ll put together some staples that you can use in your weekly rotation, using YOUR own clothes, and if you need a few items to update or refresh your wardrobe, I’ll help you find them, but it’s most important to me that your clothes feel like your clothes, and you feel like your best and most authentic self in them.

  • We start with you filling out a short introductory questionnaire on your styling priorities in our Contact section below. Then, in our 30-minute introductory consultation, I provide a preliminary look-book of style and shopping ideas based on your survey, and we determine what service would suit your personal needs – a fitting with your existing wardrobe, or a shopping trip to update your closet or fill in any gaps that might tie it all together.

  • Confabs are text conversations that help you style “in the wild”. Think of me as the trusty friend you wish lived in your mirror! It’s one thing to get some tips and fabulous new clothes, but all too often, it can still be confusing when the time comes to actually put a look together. It’s perfectly natural to still be a little unsure, for example, of which shoes to wear, or what jacket looks best. I don’t want to leave you high and dry!

    Confabs are my signature service, and one of my favorite personal touches about what I do. Text me any questions during business hours (8am-9pm) and I will virtually style you so you don’t have to wonder. I can help you look your best remotely, so you feel your best going out.

    Each confab covers advice on an entire outfit - no hidden costs for asking about shoes AND the purse.

  • I like to hit the ground running and come to the table with some ideas already in place. In order to get some legwork done, I research each and every client and provide some style ideas right off the bat, so we have a visual to discuss together.
